How do I give Jack & Wesley the same amount of attention? Why can't I give my affections to Jack without Wesley getting jealous? Why can't I have Jack lay down with me, because Wesley won't stop attacking him, or feel guilty that Wesley is alone in the garage? Jack is so patient with me. He loves attention, but he won't do anything if Wesley nips and whines and fights with him over me. I love both of them...but I can't give them both the same amount of love. If I could choose whom to give my attention to, it would be Jack... Wesley was supposed to be Jack's friend. Wesley is disliked in the house. I'm the only one that will give him attention and he looks to me as his mother, ever since he first got here. He's still a puppy. Jack is a year old now, I love him, because he's so much like Annie. Everyone gives Jack attention... but Wesley gets none. I try to give Jack the love he wants... I remember he would put toys at my door and try to open the door before we got Wesley, but when we got Wesley, he finally had a playmate to do all his puppy things with. He'll be dad's companion by the couch, and Wesley will...well...I prefer having Jack sleep with me, but I can't have that. Because Wesley gets angry, and I can't leave Wesley in the garage alone, but when I have Wesley sleep with me...he'll move around constantly, and has long since stopped sleeping NEXT NEXT to me. He'll stay by my side until I stop petting and giving him my undying attention. Jack...well Jack will sleep curled between my legs, and stay close to me while trying to just sleep. It's funny when he moves around, because he'll end up in a weird position. One time on the couch he practically had me tangled....but sigh...I don't know what to do.
